docente se requiere mirar la escuela, pues ésta configura y exige prácticas tanto a los educadores como a los educandos; determinando así un rol social de la institución; construyéndo- se así la historicidad de la escuela. Asimismo, Rockwell (2018) recalca que el estudiar y com- prender las culturas escolares implica explorar otras prácticas que se cruzan con las formas más deliberadas de educar a las futuras generaciones. Una de estas prácticas es lo que la auto- ra llama lo cotidiano; no es lo rutinario en la práctica escolar, no es lo que sucede todos los días, sino lo que puede suceder cualquier día dentro del horizonte de una vida. Ahora bien, sobre la cultura institucional, es preciso tomar el trabajo de Jimenez y Perales (2007), el cual reconstruye las reflexiones y experiencias de profesores y alumnos de las Es- cuelas Normales a través de observaciones. Enuncia cómo en la cultura escolar, destacan los encuentros con los integrantes de la planta docente y las maneras en que son llevados a partici- par en las actividades escolares, introduciéndose en la cultura escolar. Por lo tanto, la cultura escolar es el contexto simbólico que orienta intervenciones, ofrece pautas que regulan las ac- ciones de los colectivos escolares y los límites de actuación de los participantes. Es decir, es el conjunto de valores, creencias y representaciones compartidas sobre el trabajo docente, así como las prácticas de los miembros del colectivo escolar; cons- tituyéndose en pautas de actuación para los profesores-estu- diante (Lozano y Mejía 2007, p.52). Por lo tanto, con base en la revisión y estudio de estas in- vestigaciones surge la necesidad, por parte del Estado, como responsable de la formación docente comenzar a cuestionarse 192
