Algunas preguntas que pueden incitar a generar metodolo- gías o didácticas pueden ser ¿Cómo se originan y desarrollan los fenómenos? ¿Cómo se organizan en cuanto a su estructura y forma espacial? ¿Por qué están localizados dónde están? ¿Qué ventajas y limitantes resultan de esta localización? ¿Cuáles son sus patrones de distribución espacial? ¿Cómo interactúan con los sistemas naturales y sociales? ¿Cuáles son, cómo fluyen y evolucionan las principales manifestaciones espaciales de esa interacción? (Thomas, 1949: 49 en Llanos, 2006). Transitar de qué, dónde a cómo, para qué, para quién y por qué, pueden despertar esa voluntad investigativa de la que se ha venido ha- blando y en la que están involucrados actores como el profesor, las autoridades, los y las jefes de familia y del estudiantado. Con respecto al análisis geográfico desde el ámbito educa- tivo autores como Rodríguez (2000) han propuesto el ámbito familiar, el espacio escolar y el itinerario de los estudiantes con aplicaciones educativas como la orientación, la representación del territorio o incluso el análisis de alguna situación en parti- cular. De acuerdo con Souto (2001): “los alumnos pueden reconstruir la historia de sus familias dando cuenta de los movimientos migratorios, cambios en las actividades laborales, etc., pero también son muy capaces de diferenciar cómo era la vida cotidiana para un niño o niña de su edad en los tiempos en que sus padres y abuelos tenían estas edades” Así como el ejemplo de la migración se puede preguntar ¿desde cuándo y por qué los hombres en mi familia migran hacia Estados Unidos? ¿ha cambiado la forma en la que cruzan la frontera? ¿de qué dependen estos cambios?
