En la primera orientación, la investigación, se centra, en la búsqueda de acciones generalizadas que respondan a las ne- cesidades identificados en los diagnósticos. La intervención se dirige al éxito de los alumnos. En esta racionalidad formativa, la formación del profesorado se circunscribe a la adquisición de contenidos y destrezas fragmentadas y de carácter norma- tivo suministrado por expertos infalibles, en menoscabo de la dimensión propiamente intelectual del profesor o profesora. En la segunda es la del profesional práctico re昀氀exivo quien enfrenta situaciones de incertidumbre, contextualizadas e idiosincráticas que recurre a la investigación para decidir e in- tervenir; este proceso hace surgir discursos teóricos y concep- ciones alternativas de formación innovadoras. Así, se valida la necesidad de un proceso formativo para de- sarrollar profesionales reflexivos e investigadores, cuya meta principal es el aprender a interpretar, comprender y reflexionar su propia práctica, para lograrlo, se debe de dotar de instru- mentos intelectuales que faciliten el reconocer las situaciones problemáticas complejas que enfrenta; y segundo, construir o participar en redes de comunicación intersubjetivas que den a la educación escolarizada un nexo entre el saber intelectual y la realidad social. Se pretende un papel más activo del profe- sorado en el diseño, desarrollo, evaluación y formulación de estrategias y programas de intervención educativa y forma- ción, esto al tiempo que se considera la dimensión ética de la actividad educativa.
