Configurando así, en los sujetos un cierto sistema de conducta, cierta disposición para llegar a la acción; cuyas actividades están asociadas con las de los otros, generando un ambiente social. Lo que hace y lo que puede hacer depende de las expectativas, exigencias, aprobaciones y condenas de los demás (Ducoing 2003, p. 121). El medio ambiente consiste en aquellas condiciones que pro- mueven o dificultan, estimulan o inhiben las actividades carac- terísticas del hombre. Ferry (1990) habla de la importancia en toda formación ini- cial docente el realizar experiencias, de cualquier naturaleza, que lo enfrente con diversas realidades y que permitan probar sus capacidades. Ciertamente, el profesor tendrá que adquirir conocimientos, métodos, técnicas y seguramente deberá rea- lizar diversas experiencias; pero aprender o hacer alguna cosa será formativa sólo y cuando sea el medio para comprender, la ocasión para la toma de conciencia, la incitación a descifrar e interpretar todos los signos (Ferry, 1990, p.69). Del mismo modo, la formación profesional y personal es un trabajo so- bre sí mismo, libremente imaginado, deseado y perseguido, realizado a través de medios que se ofrecen o que uno mismo procura (Ferry, 1990), es decir, la formación es a través de las mediaciones que el medio ofrece o las que personalmente uno procura. De esta forma, el proceso de la formación normalista en México el está a cargo de la Escuela Normal; una mediación por medio de la institucionalización simbólica la cual es abs- tracta, pero se encarna y materializa en su cultura escolar por medio de las prácticas docentes de los profesores encargados 194
