En una critíca al lingüista evolucionista Steven Pinker acerca de su libro The language ins- tinct / El instinto del lenguaje, el psicólogo Michael Tomasello (1995) afirmó que las lenguas son “artefactos culturales” muy diferentes entre sí, pues “los idiomas cambian de manera im- portante a medida que las necesidades comunicativas de sus hablantes evolucionan con el tiempo”. Con el advenimiento de la era de la Inteligencia Artificial (IA), el debate de si nacemos con rasgos biológicos (nativismo) complejos de estructura lin- güística codificadas en nuestros genes renace para la modifi- cación del genoma humano y más allá de un mito adquiere un trasfondo ético y político en términos de exclusión de huma- nos “menos aptos” dentro de una hipotética estructura social jerárquica y asimétrica, muy similar a las sociedades coloniales de castas y del Apartheid.
