correrá por todo su cuerpo: «hicieron al corazón, nudo de las venas y fuente de la sangre que es distribuida impetuosamen- 19. Ya tienen forma los mortales y te por todos los miembros» cuentan con la máquina que los mantendrá con vida, y tienen el principio que los mantiene con vida, el alma. Sigue Timeo narrando de manera puntual la creación de algunas partes del cuerpo de los mortales: «Los huesos, la car- ne y los elementos semejantes fueron creados de la siguiente manera. La médula es el origen de todos éstos; pues mientras el alma está atada al cuerpo, los vínculos vitales dan raíces firmes al género humano, pero la médula misma se origina en otros elementos»20. El género humano está dotado de carne y huesos, ya tiene extremidades para moverse, para despla- zarse a su antojo. Sigue con su relato, refiriéndose de manera particular al hombre: «después lo tomó y se lo colocó al ser viviente que había modelado de la siguiente manera: puso la doble entrada en la boca e hizo bajar una parte por los tubos bronquiales hacia el pulmón, y la otra a lo largo de ellos a la 21 cavidad del tronco» . Y así sigue Timeo, dando más detalles sobre la creación del hombre. Muestra lo necesario para que el hombre tenga vida de manera independiente y con libertad.
