Narkanda Narkanda is a small village encircled by snow-capped mountains and valleys on the route from Shimla to Kinnaur Valley. The town offers breathtaking sunrises and sunsets as well as beautiful landscape vistas. Apples, cherries, apricots, strawberries, pears, and plums are among the well-known fruits that are gathered there between September and October. Even though Narkanda offers many locations where tourists may eat traditional Punjabi food like shahi tukda (a delicacy made with bread soaked in milk), packed parathas (breads), and a variety of curries, visitors should dress for cool evenings. The town also holds yearly celebrations, such as the Thandai Festival during Navratri, where guests sip Indian wine flavoured with sugar or molasses. An old cemetery with a view of the hills below and 100-year- old graves honouring British soldiers who perished against local tribes during battles over the area are among the area's other attractions.
