título del Ejército actual en tono guasón, titulándolo en vez de `Constitucionalistas´, `Prostitucionalistas´ o `Los de las uñas listas´»58. De hecho, el término `carrancear´ era muy usado por los queretanos como sinónimo de robar. Pero no se trataba solamente de cosas chuscas. Valentín Frías refiere otro tipo de manifestaciones constantes en contra de Carranza y el gobier- no que había impuesto en Querétaro: «Hoy aparecieron más pasquines en las esquinas contra Carranza y las autoridades de aquí»59. En concreto, como dice Meyer Cosío, la guerra civil de 1914- 1915 «trajo a Querétaro hambruna, inseguridad, muerte, sa- queo, separaciones familiares, abusos de muy diversa índole, impunidad frente a los delitos y demás desgracias que suce- 60 dieron» . Todo esto nos da idea de lo comprensible que era que los queretanos esperaran “con ansia” la llegada de los villistas. Así, antes de que éstos llegaran a la ciudad ya había manifesta- ciones de júbilo, incluyendo a los presos. Así lo refiere Valentín Frías: «En la esquina de la calle del Descanso y Flor Alta, vi un grupo de presos bailando, gritando vivas a Villa y aventando 61 los sombreros al viento» . Tres días después, el 21 de noviembre de 1914, Licastro es- cribió que era un día de fiesta por el anuncio de la llegada del general Villa.
