Dijo que el jefe del movimiento era el coronel Joaquín de la 76 Peña y que en todas las juntas se habló con amplitud de deta- lles de la rebelión, así como de fusilar a los funcionarios referi- dos. Por último, declaró que frecuentemente veía en la calle al capitán Bernal hablando del asunto con el coronel de la Peña, y, más frecuentemente aún, con Manuel Carrasco. El gobierno, como era de esperarse, arrestó a los acusados y los metió en la 77 cárcel del Palacio Municipal . Los interrogatorios se llevaron a cabo del 6 al 8 de noviembre de 1914.
