04 Intra-Company Transfer ➢ Intra-Company Transfer (ICT) is intended for employees hired by a company with a qualifying relationship with a Canada location, i.e., a subsidiary, affiliate, parent or branch. Employers in Canada do not need LMIA to secure jobs under this work permit scheme. ➢ The international worker must have been working in that business for at least one year. There is no list of qualifying professions, but employees must hold management positions or show that they have advanced and proprietary knowledge of the business or its products. This could include programmers and developers who have developed software products for corporations or computer engineers who have designed specialised programmes for its internal use.
