Street Law’s inaugural Summer Institute for Law Teachers hosted 28 law teachers from across the Baltimore/Washington metropolitan area. This first-of-its-kind institute helped meet the unique curricular and instructional needs of high school- level law teachers, while also providing educators with a forum to network and learn from each other. The Institute agenda focused on interactive learning strategies that foster civic engagement, including case studies, deliberations, moot courts, and other simulations of democratic processes. Teachers also explored a variety of content resources for leading deliberative discussions and teaching Supreme Court cases.
