Product Overview Diagnostic devices are used to identify the nature or cause of a certain phenomenon, usually related to a medical condition of Sleep Apnea Disease. Examples of diagnostic devices used for the diagnosis of sleep apnea are Polysomnography Devices, Home Sleep Testing Devices, and others. Polysomnography tracks the patient’s sleep phases and cycles to see whether and when the sleep patterns are disrupted, as well as why they are disrupted. They usually keep track of the breathing rate, airflow, oxygen levels, and heart rate. In the diagnosis and screening of obstructive sleep apnea, home sleep testing equipment are frequently employed (OSA). Because a home test just measures breathing rather than actual sleep, the results can be ambiguous or deceptively negative. Patients with OSA frequently breathe via their mouths, resulting in erroneous signals. A self-administered device can also become loose on the finger during night, though this is uncommon. The sleep screening devices are used for the diagnosis of sleep apnea. It is a simple and inexpensive approach to diagnose sleep disorders like snoring and sleep apnea.
