1 Ready to Work This fall, dozens of communities across the country will emerge as winners of job-driven training competitive grants, whether for workforce partnerships with businesses to train and hire the long- term unemployed, or for community college partnerships to train for in-demand jobs. At the same time, we’ll call on governors and mayors, business and industry leaders, innovators and educators, unions, philanthropies and community organizations across the country to work together and commit to realizing this opportunity. We know they will answer the call, because they’ve asked us to make it. America was built on hard work leading to fair reward. It was built on innovation and persistence leading to progress.
