Rituals and prayers for the protection and conservation of Mother Earth underscored their vulnerability to climate change and environmental degradation. Youth participation was noteworthy, with young individuals actively engaging in side events and pavilions. I, too, had the privilege of participating in a panel discussion on blue food systems, sharing experiences of local communities in Malawi with our lakes, rivers, and wetlands. Notably, 15-year-old Amoko from South Sudan echoed Sudanese children's voices on climate justice and stewardship. The pavilion of Chad showcased children's involvement in climate change discussions and education material improvements, adding an inspiring dimension to the conference.
