The Youth & Family Services Program is designed to provide free information and referral services to at-risk youth and their families. The program supports the family unit by providing guidance in decision- making and by connecting individuals to supportive services in the community. Eligibility for Programs:  Youth 13 - 17 years of age and young adults 18 - 21.  No income or residency requirements.  Self-referrals and referrals from local agencies are accepted. Youth Case Management: Information & referral, utility assistance, connecting individuals to community providers regarding a variety of social issues which include, but are not limited to: employment, community service, health & wellness, housing/unstable living situations, and legal matters. Mentoring in Middle Schools: Mentoring in Middle School is a collaboration between the Glendale Unified School District, the Youth & Family Services Section, and Homenetmen Ararat to provide mentoring to twenty middle school students at Wilson and Toll Middle Schools. Speakers from both the public and private sector provide both groups with insight on employment opportunities, responsibility, courtesy, and citizenship. Page 22 | Fall 2024
